Homework: September 12

Honors English 12 (A block)

  • Be prepared to discuss "St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves"--you should make sure you've read and marked up the whole story.
  • Continue to read Room.
  • Start studying your new vocabulary.
English 11 (C block)
  • Complete the Junior/Rowdy character handout--left-hand column on both sides only!
Honors English 11 (D block)
  • When we first started discussing "Death by Landscape" there were many questions. Now, you've had a chance to study some elements of the story with a small group. I'm asking you to tackle one of the questions (or, moments that you think are important but you don't know why). Write a thoughtful, exploratory paragraph, in which you attempt to answer it and consider why it matters. For questions like "Is Lucy actually dead?" you'll need to go beyond a yes or no. Consider, perhaps, why the answer to the question does or doesn't matter. Make sure to support your paragraph with specific evidence and reasoning.
