  • Study vocabulary and continue to read Gatsby! Start chapter 5.
Honors English 11 (D block)
  • Tomorrow, you have a quiz! You should be ready to write about current vocabulary words (and maybe some old ones, too), up through chapter 3 in Gatsby, as well as the argument essay by Pau Gasol. 
  • By Friday, finish chapter 4 and start into chapter 5.
  • You’re going to work on a revision of your Strength/The Arrival essay. It’ll be due next Thursday.

  • You have a vocab quiz on Friday, and you should also finish reading chapter 6. Additionally, fill out the “Scavenger Hunt” handout. If you’re in class Thursday, you’ll do a vocabulary review activity and will have time to read. If you’re not here, you must find time to do these things on your own.
